Use front jacks independent of each other
So we have a 2004 3255RL model and with it I have one switch to control both front jacks. Does anyone know of a way to allow the jacks to operate independent of one another? For example, need to raise one side slightly higher than the other to level out. I know leveling blocks could possibly work but let's say in this situation that's not an option.

Standard installation, single motor drives both legs. Maybe before you drop the fiver, you could adjust the leg in question by dropping or raising to the next hole and then dropping.

The only way is to have two drive motors installed, about $700 when I looked into it. I carry several wood shims to compensate for variances in ground height.

If the site is unlevel side to side, when you pull the trailer up onto leveling blocks or boards and get the trailer level, the front of the trailer will be level even though your truck may not be. But I have always been able to adjust the jacks by choosing the appropriate hole for the pin in each jack so that each jack is very nearly the same distance off the ground. (actually off the 4"x6" blocks I put under each jack). Then when lowering the jacks, it automatically keeps the front of the trailer level within a reasonable deviation of half an inch or so side to side.

Like said it can't be done with a single motor OEM setup. There is a shaft that runs from one leg to the other virtually locking them together. You really should back up on wood or plastic levelers, get as level as you can, and then match the leg extensions to be as equal from ground as possible. You can always add wood under the short leg to get it closer than the holes provided in the extensions. Trying to make just the electric front jacks do what "level up" does with 6 cylinders isn't a wise venture.

As said you adjust legs independently with pins on leg, you can also get a gismo that fits on the bottom of one leg that lets you fine tune you legs so you don't need to shim one leg to match the other. Found mine in Quartzite a few years back, about $30-50. Work slick.

X2 on Mtheo's suggestion. I had one on my previous Montana and it worked very well to adjust the difference between two legs that moving the pin couldn't.
Here is one link to the product, there may be others.

I use wood blocks under my jack feet just because it transfers the weight to the ground better and if the dirt is soft than it doesn't sink in. I also carry a 1/2 inch piece of plywood which in most cases so far has made up the difference in not flat ground. I put them in the bed of the truck while we are traveling and they are handy there. We are currently on a 3 month trip across the USA and my wood has come in handy.LOL

I also use the adjustable leveler that attaches to one leg. I've used it on my last three 5th wheels.
