I found this excellent repair tutorial on another site:

That is an Ozz-worthy tutorial!

I serviced a carburetor years ago on my 1970 Chevelle Malibu. After I was finished I had to re-name the float, the "sink."

Nothing good usually comes from me servicing a crab (make that Carb) either, it is usually followed by a trip to the carb repair place. My big fingers, failing eyesight and 'bigger hammer' theories usually don't do well with the tiny springs, keepers and do-dads in carburetors.
Dang! if I didn't have spell-check I couldn't even read this jibberish....

Nice website.
The last carb I rebuilt was a couple of years ago on my 66 Olds, since sold. I'm always concerned I will not get all the parts in the rebuild kit that I will need, so I keep everything I take apart. Good thing because there was a small spring that vanished on me as I was looking at it. I blinked and it was gone. I never found it. I used the old one over.
Carbs can be fun.

Thanks Ozz. Just over a year ago I did not put Stabil in my Honda gennie and it would not start after sitting for awhile. After $200. trip to the Honda store for carb clean up I now put Stabil in my gennie. I also start it ever so often. I did bookmark this just in case.
