Trailer king tires
Pick up the new Montana 3720 left the dealer after about 4 hours of walk through and signing papers went home and picked up the dogs and some food for the weekend and headed to Tyler state park. between Canton and Tyler right rear tire blew out luckily no damage done. I love changing a tire on the interstate highway people going by at 80 miles per hour.got their and the fridge doesn't work anymore gas or electric my beer is now getting hot and I'm not happy.BUT I GOT A FREE YETTI COOLER when I bought the trailer at the Dallas rv show but it was at home. The dealer and Keystone said the tire was not their problem have to talk to trailer king rep for replacement if I didn't cause the blowout.I will be buying new tires before we go to New Mexico on vacation in july.ALWAYS GET THE UPGRADED TIRES WHEN YOU ORDER A NEW TRAILER LESSON LEARNED THE HARD WAY TIM

Yep, you need to get them off and put sailuns or goodyear g614's on...depends on how much you want to open the wallet. John

I saw a guy last year with a Montana class SOB camper with the side tore off of it with Trailer King on it. He said they were up grade tires. I wouldn't wont to see the standard tires.

Tim I have four slightly used Trail Kings for sale. The reason is I was not overly comfortable pulling our 3160 with out good tires even though I had some safety factor in the weight of my unit. I put exact same size Sailun's on and I am a lot more comfortable when towing now. Goodyear or Sailun both have good ratings and reviews, I am sure you would like either brand.
Glad to hear you had minimal damage from the blowout. I was there and done that with a left rear tire blowout on my tow vehicle with minimal room for me to safely change the tire. Most Aholes don't even move to the fast lane to give you some safety margin.

Glad it didn't do any damage. Pure ST tires are not required to have any reserve capacity and so they can go as high as possible on the load range making it cheaper for the manufacturers than having to put the right tires on the rigs.

I'm guessing the RV Transporter delivered the trailer to the dealer and exceeded the 65mph MAX on those Trailer Kings the whole trip and shortened their life span and caused your problem. I'm also guessing whatever you buy, you will treat those tires better than any RV Transporter ever will.
I was an RV transporter for a very short stint and NEVER exceeded the speed limit. I was definitely in the minority. I was passed by other RV transporters MANY times.

Mine will have less than 6000 when I upgrade. I figure I can get a few dollars for them on Craig's list.

When I bought my Geostar G574 LT 14 ply's at Les Schwab tire here out West they gave me 80 bucks each for my St e rated Marathons they say the Farmers love them for their hay hauling trailers and they have no problems with them and also folks with lighter trailers have good success with them as well and they said they would buy Trailer Kings too so just FYI if you live out West

Has anyone used or have any experience with Westlake Load range G tires? A local tire shop has a special on ST235/85R16 14PLY WESTLAKE CR960A ALL STEEL ST TRAILER TIRES. I know that I don't want Westlake Load range E tires but what about Load range G? These are just under half price of the G614 and I can't find a local tire shop that sells Saliuns.

At the present time, Westlake G tires are the OEMs on Redwoods. I haven't heard anything bad, but many are switching to 17.5 H tires because of the Redwoods weight.

I had westlakes E on my Grand Design I traded in, never had any problems, and just the look of those tires were better than the trailer king.
I will be replacing mine soon too...until then, I check the pressure and monitor the tires closely.
