Emmel,

Would I be correct in saying, that if all of us did in fact make our reservations, the block would be now half full?

Yes Dale, you're right. However, Rose also said we could possibly get more sites if we need them. Wouldn't that be great!

Dennis and Irene, you fine folks are in for a treat.

I'd bet that after you attend this one, you'll be looking for excuses to go to more of 'em.

Emmel,

Faxed the application that I printed from their web site last Friday. Just a short time later they called and said they wanted to me to call back in a morning. So, when I get to work Monday morning, I'll give 'em a call and try to get it set up for good and get our spot reserved.

I'll let you know if it is a done deal.

Dale

Emmel,

It's a done deal! Got our spot reserved. Going to show up on Wednesday afternoon. Departure will be Monday am. At least that is the plans for now.

Can't wait! Gonna' bring my golf clubs, too.

Also, once we get there, I'm going to try to locate a chimney to burn one night in a fire pit. They are cool!

Anyone in northern Indiana or southern Michigan going to this rally,

Or anyone coming from south of here.

Our tentative plans that Gail and I have are that we are going to Mackinaw City on Wednesday the 29th. We are leaving no later than mid-forenoon. If there are any others going up on Wednesday, how about we set up a caravan?

There are safety in numbers, you know. Gotta' protect ourselves against those Wild Injun's!

What are the rates per day for the campground?

We are still trying to make it. The wife has to go into the doctor and get her knee checked out next week to see if she needs surgery or not. If not, then we are for sure coming!

Packerfan, thanks for asking, I had to go back to my reservations to see what they were charging us. It figures out at $36 a night before their state tax is added or about $39 after tax!

GOOD DEAL,richfaa and H.John Kohl!! Looks like we have 8 units now for sure! Enough for 2 foursome golf teams to have a tournament.

I was talking to one of our dealers yesterday in Petosky. He made it very plan that when Gail and I head up on this trip, we are suppose to swing over there and say "hey". So, looks like I'm going up 131 all the way into 31, turn right in down town Petosky and and catch them up on the north side of town. Then I'll just stay on 31 over to I-75 and then turn right on US 23. Should be no big deal.

I'm just not all that excited about the 2 lane road up there north of Cadillac. But, as I recall from when we were up that way 3 years ago, it was pretty decent road.

We go from Bellaire to Gaylord, then up I-75 to Mack City. Much better than 131/31 roads, but you will have no choice, Dale, in order to get to Petoskey.

Dave,

Since I entered that response, where we ware located, if we get an early enough start by 7:00 am, I've been thinking about taking 31 up out of the west side of South Bend and taking the scenic route along the lake. I know it will take us a little longer but, I've never been up along there most of that way.

If anyone has any input, I'd like to know if it is worth while.

By all means MIMF2. We took the lake route a couple of years ago and loved it. Sleeping Bear Dunes is beautiful as well as very interesting. There were several little towns that we stopped at and had a ball. We loved Traverse City and Petroskey. We visited a lot of wineries along the way and the scenery was awesome. We took a couple of weeks to really see this area but of course, we are retired.
