Air Conditioner Replacement

My bedroom air conditioner (Dometic Penguin) has bit the dust. The unit is under warranty but it is so noisy that I don't know if I want the same thing again. Any body have experience with Coleman or Carrier in this application?

I have a Carrier low profile ... darned good little unit with minimal noise ... only catch is Carrier no longer makes RV A/C's since about 2010.

Funny, we also had to have our bedroom A/C replaced under warranty in July while we were in Idaho. It also was a Dometic unit and was a bit noisy before a catastrophic failure. CW in Meridian, ID just happened to have a new Dometic on the shelf and had it replaced in a couple of hours. The new unit runs with no vibration but of course still is a bit loud from the inside fan noise. We did notice it cools much better than the old one, even from when new, so suspect it was bad from the beginning. You may not have a whole lot of choice on a warranty replacement brand. Whether Keystone does the warranty or Dometic does, it will still be on Dometic for the replacement. Good luck.

Not sure if Coleman has a low profile model; we run identical Coleman units in front and rear, neither low profile. Have never had an height issue.

I have a Coleman Mach 2 low profile over the Bedroom (nonducted). Its noisy. I have a new Dometic Brisk Air 2 ducted main AC. Its much quieter. Had I known that I would have put another Brisk Air in front over the bedroom.
