TV actuator

I have a 2011 Montana 3455SA with the auto tv lift behind the fireplace. When I raised the tv, it only went up partially and began to shake, going back down instead. It seems to work going down, but not up. To keep it up, we had to pull the tv up and wait for it to stop vibrating. Has anyone else had this issue? What can be done to fix it? Also, can I just leave the tv in the up position instead of moving it up and down at every site?

I don’t have one but I would check to see if all bolts and screws are tight.

Lubricate the worm gear in the back.

Is it mounted on the floor with a long bolt that runs through the motor?

Yup. Motor on the floor. 2' long screw. Oil the screw and motor. Last winter mine would not come up. Sprayed some wd40 on the motor and screw. Works like a champ.

I have the same setup but mine is encased in a desk. Double check all the bolts, because mine were all loose. I would not tow with the TV in the up position, cause of all the bouncing and jarring.

There is a long bolt that goes in the motor up behind the tv maybe the gear. It has a bolt head on it. It seems that might be loose. Do you know how tight that bolt should be?

They should have a torque spec somewhere.
