I give it to you
Don't know how you full timers do it. I take a three day trip in my Montana and it stays in the shop for 60 days.

Such is life we have been long timing since November 2006 two Montana's nearly 100K miles. We winter in Florida for 6 months. We have had our share of problems in both Montana's but do not think they have been in the shop for 50 days total over 11 years. Last shop stay was for this 13 3402 gray tank replacement time in shop 5 days.
We have not lost any travel time due to Montana in shop. Lucky I guess.
We do have the advantage of being able to go to the fall rallies and if something needs repair they are fast .

Same here. Fulltimed over six years, came back from Florida in May from our tenth six month snowbird season. Owned Montana units since 2002, and two other brands before that. I do plenty of preventive maintenance, learned how to do most repairs myself. In all those years, only Montana ever in the shop overnight was our 2015' once for replacement of the frig and microwave under warranty (three days) and once for replacement of a broken window (six hours). In both instances, we took the unit in, trouble ticket written, and parts placed on order. Then we continued to use the unit, bar frig in front outside storage and cardboard on the window. When we got dealer notification parts were in, we took the back to the dealer for install. We certainly have used mobile rv service on occasion, air conditioner replacement being one example. Key part of happy rv life is establishing a good relationship with a reliable dealer.

As Mike said, those of us who full time have had to learn how to make it work. On the other hand, I had plenty of issues with our various stick homes, AC, water heater, plumbing, electrical and the most fun was rehabing an 1880 home. It's all what you want to get used to.

We're on our third unit since 2009 and none have spent an overnite in a shop and we've logged over 83K miles between them.

Have been full timing almost 7 years and Montana only at shop 1 day and NEVER overnight. I do most of our maintenance/repairs and try to stay ahead of the game.

Knock on wood
we've been full-timing in our first 5th wheel ever for 6 months now and not a single problem worth taking in for service.
I have a list of small issues we'll address once something comes along I can't manage.

What I've been seeing is, if you have an older Montana you're in luck, a new one good luck. You may need it. Think I'll keep my old one.

Full timing almost five years, rig was in one time for three nights to fix two problems. The only other repairs I did not do myself was having the Norcold cooling unit replaced twice, and both times in a park by a mobile tech. We have well over 45,000 miles on this rig.
