CO/LP alarm

2021 3121 rl.

in heated shop.
on shore power.
lp tanks are open.

the lp alarm went off last night.
i have soap water sprayed the stove, oven, h2o heater, furnace and can see no leak at the fittings.

the alarm tag says manufactured in 2020.

dont think this is CO as nothing is running, and the storage bay is in the shop we work out of every day, and i am no more dizzy than usual i am told. lol

my elderdog will have a hissyfit if he is in the rig and it alarms. lol.

any idea's on how to track alarm down?
should i just replace the alarm and see?

addendum....alarming again. red flash (co) and 4 beeps (get the heck out).
i have no sources of combustion in or even near the montana.

You need to make sure there is nothing dangerous setting it off which it sounds like you have. At one year I had to replace the monitor in this trailer because it decided to start going off when it wanted to. From the date on the monitor it was approx. 18 mos. New monitor, no more beeping. I've read of others with the same problem and solution.

Our LP alarm died an early death too. There is no telling what contaminants the alarm was exposed to during the manufacturing of the rig and also all the out gassing of the various products inside the rig can contaminate the sensor. You also should verify that there isn't a source of petroleum in the air where the rig is stored, even if you can't smell it, because that could set the alarm off, or any engines running nearby could set off the CO side of the alarm. Moving the rig outside for a couple days if it wasn't too much of a hassle might also be an option.

Any chance your dog is passing gas near the lp detector?

My dog also set the alarm off…seriously. He farted, sniffed, showed signs of disgust, walked away, and the alarm went off. 100% legit.
