Changing out the dark for lighter decor
Hello, We recently purchased a 2016 3721RL which we love. However, the interior decoration is extremely dark: black glass in the upper cabinet and pantry doors, dark brown curtains, dark front wainscoting on island and bedroom accent. I'd like to lighten up the kitchen countertops and wonder if the thin granite overlay would be an option, but don't want to break the bank. Looking at pictures of the 2018 Montana 5th wheels, there are lighter color choices that really look great and I think can be replicated in our unit. We do not want to paint the walls or woodwork (maybe the 3 sides of the island wainscoting). Has anyone put glass film on those dark glass panes in the upper cabinet doors? Two ways to do: take glass out of door frame and use one piece for the entire door or if applying to the front of the door, the film will need to be cut for each framed piece. Also struggling with an approach to change out the curtains; have recently found replacement curtains from trek wood.com, but a bit pricey and still need to figure out the top curtain piece which is glued onto the shade support. Hoping to learn a few tips from anyone that has taken on this project. Thank you!
