12v 50 amp breakers going south

Our new 37&1/4 started popping the breakers while using level up and pulling in slides. I looked over the wiring for the breakers and found that during construction someone wired everything to the same breaker there are two breakers but all they did was wire the second breaker to be hot with everything else going to the other breaker. Hmm you would think they would know better than this. After tripping the breaker so many times I just went down and got all new breakers.
I had this problem with the old 3400 tripping breakers so I doubled up the breakers. I did this once again with the 37&1/4 with out any problems so far. Has anyone else done this and if so have you encountered any problems?

There have been quite a few on this forum who have upgraded their circuit breakers to 80amp which solved their problem of the slides stopping and starting.

Our 3402RL did the same thing on occasion but we started out with the two 12V batteries from our previous 5er and one had a bad cell and was not holding a charge and drawing the other one down. As the voltage dropped the amperage went up to supply the pump motor and the result was the tripping of the breaker. This is also hard on the batteries and the pump motor and doubling up or upping the current rating on the breaker is not my choice of overcoming the problem.

I always hook up to shore power before moving the slides and level up, the added voltage from the converter solved my initial problem, I then replaced the 2 - 12V with 2 - 6V HD batteries. I can run the slides in and out a couple of times without problem if needed, but I still always hook up to shore power before running the slides and bring them in before disconnecting from shore power. No more problems.

My breakers are the original ones installed.

I wonder if you are using one battery or more than one.

I'm not surprised at the wiring you found after chasing down mislabeled circuits and other not too smart stuff in ours. I didn't use the house breakers for the new landing gear as they came with their own breakers on the control panel, but they at least weren't wired like yours. You probably wouldn't have had any difficulties with them if they'd been wired in a balanced way.

Keystone replaced my original breaker with an 80amp under warranty.

I remember someone else posting pictures about their two 12v breakers being wired in series. Obviously wrong. My two (as I think most others) were wired correctly. One breaker serves only the slides (don't have level up) and the other breaker serves everything else.

Even at that, I still had to wire two 40 amp breakers in parallel for the slides to keep the single 50 from tripping.

Well thanks for the replies I am running 4 6volt golf cart batteries so low voltage is not the cause was most likely the fact that they didn't balance the system between the 2 breakers. We dry camp most of the time so hooking up to shore power isn't always there till I get the gen. Fired up and the inverter going. Thanks again for the help that why I come here you guys are the best.

I have never used any breaker or fuse larger than 30 amp in our 12 V system and have never tripped a breaker or fuse after repairing the mess Keystone made of the wiring.

This was prompted by reaped blowing the single 30 amp fuse they had installed for all 12 V circuits except the slides.

They had bundled all the wiring together 110 AC and 12 V DC with the converter turned off, the air conditioners on and the battery removed I had 90 V on the 12 V system. After separating the wiring properly I was able to get this down to 10 MV.
