Decals question

Is there any way Keystone will pay for shrinking and fading decals?
Any precedent set yet? I have an '07
Thanks.

They seem very willing to send replacements. I have a 07 at no charge after sending them pictures. No luck on them offering to pay for the instalation.

Keystone will supply the decals at no cost, but units that are 3 plus years old may be a problem for keystone to supply labor to install.
We were fortunate with our 09 3400RL as Keystone supplied and paid the bill to install at a Dealer nearest our home.

If you can get to the service center we've seen units as old as 2002 have their decals replaced.

Good luck on that, they talk the talk but dont walk the walk. and the new decals will do the same as the ones you have now.

Thanks folks, do I deal with the dealer, or someone at Keystone.
Michael, we don't have plans to go anywhere close to there.

Ozz, talk to Michelle Diaz at keystone. She has been just excellent to work with. Her e-mail is diazm@keystonerv.com

We have been talking to a very nice lady names Robyne at Keystone. I would give you her email but it looks like you already have Michelle's. Our trailer is a 2008 and after sending pictures she sent us new decals for the front. They have been arriving little by little and one at a time, but I keep communicating with her and she emails right back. Good luck!

Ozz, we also have 2007 Montana. We received the replacement decals free of charge; we had to pay for half of the installation costs. I think Keystone paid for the other half of the installation because I had been sending them photos of our peeling and cracking graphics from the day they started disintegrating, which was about 13 months after we bought our rig (new). It took a long, long time to get any response from Burlington and Keystone, but they did finally help us. As I said, I started sending photos from Day 1 of the peeling, and I bet I sent photos showing the progression of the damage at least once a month for over a year. Eventually, we did get a complete set of graphics, which was only fair, because every graphic from front to back, top to bottom, on all 4 sides, was coming off at an alarming rate.

We surely hope the replacements hold up longer than a year.

Ozz--I got free decals for the front of my 2006 about 1 year ago and applied them myself. Not a big deal--go for it. You will need warm weather to apply them. I followed the instruction on removal and cleaning of the adhesive residue. They have done very well for over a year.

Ozz, we bought our 2007 with the front graphics pealing. I called Keystone right after I bought it and they told me to send some pictures in an e-mail. They said they would replace them if they were available. It sounded like they didn’t want to commit to it but they came though and I received the graphics for the front in two different shipments. I was very happy with their response.

Good luck. See my post titled GRAPHICS REVISITED. I have the same problem as everyone else with peeling graphics on our 2006. I contacted Montana and Keystone, and was refused any consideration at all. Just a flat "no". If you do any better, I'd sure like to hear about it. Seems like Montana's response to this problem has to do with the phase of the moon, or something.

June of this year, sent pictures of my bad graphics ( 2008 3400RL ) to Keystone, took them a few months to get the entire set sent ,received the last of them last month free of charge. They let me know at the start some of the graphics were on back order, and might take awhile.

Well, I gave it a shot, sent this email to her:

We at the Montana Owners Club are a big supporter of the Keystone line, I imagine we are responsible for many sales, as we also contribute to the Escapees, Good Sam and other Forums.

I am having peeling Graphics on my '07 Montana 3400 RL, we have had a recent thread, actually many threads about the poor graphics on our units.

Can you help me with new ones? I will pay for the removal of the old ones, actually I will do the removal.

I think this will help Keystone's reputation as a supportive and helpful big corporation, not what a lot of them are, now-days unfortunately.

Wanted to share my recent experience in getting nose cap decals replaced on my 2008. Michelle Diaz at Keystone was extremely helpful. At her request I sent pics of the peeling decals and the same day she responded that they would ship them to me at no cost. Asked about installation, she didn't offer to assist. I'm very satisfied. Apparently Burlington Graphics is no longer providing the decals and those Michelle is sending are from the new vendor.

I'm not sure of the statistics on second failures but last week while picking up our 2006 Monty from the dealer (routine maintenance) I listened to a couple complaining that their replacement decals only lasted about a year. I didn't stick around to hear the whole story, but they were pretty aggravated.

Too bad that Toyota doesn't build trailers. But then we might have runaway trailers that still had great decals. Just joking, but I remember in the 60's and 70's how it took Toyota and Honda to force the American car manufacturers to pay more attention to quality.

I received a whole set about 3 years ago. Have been replacing them as needed and as I have time. Removing the old ones is the biggest hassle. I redid the nose over 2 years ago, and it is holding up well. Service mgr. at dealer suggested a wallpaper steamer for removal. Said that's what they use. Going to try that.

Same here replaced the front this past weekend, will replace as needed. The hard part is getting off the old ones. I used a heat gun ,and goo gone to get off some of the glue that was left. They would peel off pretty good if I waited for the sun to heat them up, but in the middle of the day in the summer it is pretty uncomfortable. I don't expect the replacements to last any better then the first ones, and I swore I was not going to replace, but caved in ,and replaced them on the front ,and back. Sides are still looking pretty good.
I used the hinge method when replacing with plenty of water mixed with a couple drops of baby shampoo in a spray bottle.

Mrs. Diaz has hit the 'Ignore button' on me, I guess, I just emailed her the second time.
