Finally in KC(update) 2nd annual KC MOC mini rally

Got into KC yesterday around 6pm. Betsy drove 5 of the 8 hours. She did a great job and had to deal with a Hitchhiker 5th wheel gatoring a tire right in front of us. She dodged it like a pro. Then she got to deal with rush hour traffic in KC towing the Big Sky and she said she had a great time.. We have moved to Blue Springs Campground. We are having the 2nd annual KC MOC mini-rally luncheon on Thursday. So far we have the following folks coming: Jimcol, Mudchief, Sreigle, maybe rondo and Mary if they can escape from Chris and Lynn in time. We were hoping for Ozz to make an appearance but again he has a lame excuse "we are in Utah" (add your own whine). So it looks like another afternoon of attacking the buffet at Ameristar Casino. If you are in the area feel free to stop by. It is set to start around 1pm, there is plenty of parking even for RVs...

Beau asked me to mention that if you can't get the steaks sealed he'll take care of the problem for you!

We got the hand-operated Ziplock brand from Walmart, works 5x faster and I think does a better job, they have good heavy vacuum bags, you might look into that, takes up little space also, about the size of a small hairbrush.
If you like Taco's, try In-A-Tub, over on North Oak Street. When I was in Nam, that was what I missed the most...
Itialian: Cascones, also over on North Oak.

Glad you had good results from the driving school, although I was sure Betsy could handle it anyway. When we were in KC we went to a restaurant called "Sticks" very good if you like Japanese. It was at "legends". have fun. Larry

Hopefully we can scrape together a few local MOC members for another lunch at Ameristar like last year. Jimcol has already contacted me and once again Ozz has anothe lame excuse for not making (work or out of town) go figure. Hopefully we can get Mudchief to make it and any other MOCers within driving distance. We are at Worlds of Fun till Sunday when we will be moving to Blue Springs.

Hook,Betsy went through the Keystone driving school back in 08. She drove part way home from that rally up through the UP of Michigan. This is the first time she has done it since we went full time.. Paul we will be here for about 2 wks.

Jack, It's the old Station Casino just South of Worlds of Fun. Should I hold 2 seats for you and Dee?

Jim:
Can't make this one because of time frame. I am in northern Iowa right now and it is Thursday morning.... I would like to make one of the mini-Rallies in K.C. My daughter lives in Shawnee south of the race track and west a couple of miles.... JB
