Truck Tires

What tires are you running on your truck? My baby needs new front shoes.
Would you purchase your tires again? Why? and if not, what brand would you purchase?

Thanks

Most truck tires have two ply sidewalls which isn't enough for what we do with ours so we run BF Goodrich and will again when we need more.

My truck came with BF Goodrich rugged trails on it. No complaints other than needed a more aggressive tire for these Upper Peninsula winters. I went with the BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A’s. Very happy with them.

I’m running Nexen, came with them from the factory. I just replaced them with Nexen, they ride decent and have good traction dry and wet. 166 per tire at Discount tire and round the stock size 235/80/17.

Michelin. Generally the tire by which others are judged. BTW, my tire guy is a Cooper dealer and he says don't buy them.

Michelin always. I’ve tried others, but Michelin always remain quiet throughout their life. I really get great mileage out of them. A few dollars more, but worth it.

I've been disappointed when I've strayed from Michelin.

Our truck still has the original Michelin LTX AT2 (27K) but I will be changing them to Firestone Destination AT this coming year. I've ran the Destination AT's for years on my previous trucks. I've not found an LT tire I like better for our use. I'm off pavement quite often and a true AT tire is a must.

BF Goodrich All Terrain TA and Bridgestone Dueler AT also excellent tires but more expensive than the Destinations.

Since I have been very happy with the Sailuns on our Montana after a 6,600 mile trip this summer I decided to put Sailun Terramax 275/70R/18 on the truck and am VERY pleased so far. Smooth as silk and reasonably priced @ $694 out the door to include alignment.

Good looking tire and love the price. Let us know how they hold up over time and miles.

This tire thread got me looking at tires and my beloved Firestone Destination AT's are not made in the stock size for my truck. Bummer!

Thanks All!

I have always purchased Michelin's in the past and from reading all y'all's posts that is probably what I will go with when I replace the Nexen's that came on the truck. Very disappointed in the Nexen's as I would have thought they would not have worn on the outside edge like they did and only after 20K miles. Michelin's it will be.

The wear on the putter edges is an alignment issue, I know this because I had the same issue until I took my truck to a truck alignment shop. These truck come with way to much toe in, they can’t have anymore then 0.05 for a total toe, it’s best to get as close to zero as possible.

Suggested the Terramax to a friend ,same size as yours, same as mine. They will be my next truck tire . He also has been happy with them .

Currently running the Toyo AT2's. nice tire ,but very doubtful they will be any better then the Sailuns, they cost me nearly double what the Sailuns will cost.
