Well, the DH did it. Pulled the roof edge back and replaced staples with stainless steel screws. As usual he did a super job and it is done to his satisfaction and much better than it came from the factory. He never ceases to amaze me at all the things he can do. I never need a repairman at our house. We are getting older and climbing up and down on ladders is not my idea of something fun to do and not something you expect to do on a brand new camper. The DH saved us a 250 mile trip and the likelyhood of the dealer not repairing it to our satisfaction, but think this staple problem could be solved with more pride in workmanship, spending a little more time and using SS screws, and some quality control.
