Thoughts on towing a Montana 3121rl 1ton srw

I’m looking at replacing my high country with the regular Montana. It seems like the high country’s have become very cheaply made. I’m wondering if my 2016 f350 srw diesel would be adequate for this heavier trailer. Pin weight only about 100 lbs more. Over all camper about 1200 lbs. would appreciate any input.

You should have no problem. I pull a 2015 3611RL with a 2014 Ram 3500 srw and it pulls great. A friend just bought a 3121 and pulls with a 2018 GMC 3500 srw and says it pulls like a dream. JT.

You will be fine. I pull a 3160RL which is a little heavier on the pin than yours and I am right at my payload capacity. Heck, I see people pulling much heavier rigs with a 3/4 ton.

There is NO difference between a 1 ton or a 3/4 ton truck. Both come with a 10,000 payload capacity. Only the 1 ton with a 11,500 payload capacity is different. I went through this when I got my truck.

This is our first one but it pulls fine. much better than TT. we are little over payload but we enjoy ours

The problem we ran into and the reason we now own a dually is we had the wheels on the truck weighed each by themselves. The truck was within it's weight limits, no problem, but the rear wheels were over the capacity of the tires and I had the strongest tires with the most sidewall plys I could buy.
