Sounds like your flush valve is stuck

Thanks KOLCB. Now have you ever replaced one as I can see that the valve inside is moving. I am going to order a new one. Just need to know have to remove the foot pedal. I have the toilet out and separated on the work bench.

I replaced the ball seal on a Sealander once, it was too hard. I think the foot pedal went into a notch on the ball assembly

I found the problem. Where the spring goes into the pedal arm, which is only plastic, broke a piece of plastic and the pedal was not returning all the why back to close the water shut of valve. While cleaning the floor in the trailer after our last trip out, I remember finding a tiny piece of white/bone colour plastic on the floor. wondered what it was. Know I know.

Ordered parts and received them on Friday. I am going to try and test the toilet before I reinstall as the Monty is winterized and I would have to wait until spring to see if it works. Keeping my fingers crossed.
