Circuit Breakers in Montana
Are the circuit breakers in the Monty standard ones you can buy at a Home Depot or are they "special for the rv?". I think I may have a weak breaker that I want to replace.
Thanks!

Yes and no, I have found the thin double breakers at Ace and Home depot, but they are all the same amperage, either 15 or 20 amp. The only place I have found the 15/20 amp breakers was at Camping world. If the breaker you are having a problem with is the one for the comverter then I would check the converter first. I have and had a IOTA 75 amp. My breaker kept popping intermittently on the converter. It turned out that the converter was failing. After I replaced the converter I never had the breaker pop off.. If you have an IOTA just call them and they will shoot you a new converter in about 2 days..

Like Dave, I found the single pole breakers available at Lowes and HD. But I had a bad 20 amp breaker in a tandem 15/20 and could not find one even in a well equipped hardware store and a local electrical supply house. Ordered one from amazon.com. My originals are Square D brand.
Look at the breaker carefully. Some different brands are interchangeable. But some are not. Good idea to take the old one with you.

I was able to find the 15/20 breakers at Lowe's when I replaced one in the RV. Later I found them available at the Home Depot, too.
I think it depends on the store and if they are in stock, but I believe the breakers (single 15, single 20 or 15/20 combination) are standard for home or RV applications. Like BB_TX, I think I replaced a Square D brand with another Square D brand. No problems since.
