What's the Freeze Guard Winterizing System?

I'm in the process of winterizing my 2011 Montana 3400RL. In the convenience center there is a garden hose connection called "Freeze Guard Winterizing System". It's above the city water connection. The manual I got with the rig nor the on-line manual mention it so I don't know how to use it! Does anyone know what it is or how to use it? My only guess is that it may be a connection for adding anti-freeze. Any help you could give would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Walt,
You are correct. The Freeze-guard system allows the use of the inside pump to place the good old pink stuff in most of the places it is needed. After opening the low water drains and draining the hot water tank, I use the system as follows. I made a short section of hose that I place in the bottle of pink stuff, turn the hot water heater bypass and then have the DW tuen the pump switch on and go through the faucets one-by-one until pink juice is flowing. Kitchen faucet (remember to depress the sprayer also), bathroom faucet, tub/shower faucet, toilet and the outside faucet. A previous poster also recommended using the outside faucet to hook a hose up the black tank sprayer to winterize it as well. Air can be used also. I then pour a little down the sink traps. We also have a Spendide washer which has seperate winterization procedures, but we use the Freeze-Guard system to so the washer per the manufacturers instructions. Good Luck

I recently went through this too. I found that to get antifreeze to the line that feeds the water heater (mine is at the rear of the 5er), I needed to open the water heater bypass. I didn't find any way to get antifreeze into the line that brings hot water back from the heater. Otherwise it all worked great.

I blew all my lines out with air first.
