Fantastic (Dometic Ultra Breeze) Fan Vent Cover

After seeing reviews on the Fantastic roof vent cover, I bought a pair to install. Having a bit of difficulty because I just realized that my Montana has Maxxair fans installed and Maxxair fans have these premolded nubs. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I really like the Fantastic fan covers because they allow the most air movement when open, unlike the Maxxair cover that will open to about 50%.

I have MaxxAir Fans and MaxxAir covers and my fan covers open to 90 to 95% of max.

I also have the stub sticking up for the ex clip install. FYI when you open the fan it does touch the vent hood and stop. I would say about 90% open.
Still I like it. Keeps the rain out. I can go down the road and leave it open to air out the rig.
Also it provides protection of the vent front hail.
