Here I am again, too much time on my hands.

Just got back from a 32 day trip of the midwest taking in state fairs in OH, IN, IA, MO, TN and KY. Got to updating my travel log and decided to look back on some of our trips covering the 48 contiguous states.

Here's the too much time on my hands part:

Purchased 1st RV late 2003. Started taking trips in 2004. Since then, 42 trips with 170 destinations covering 142 RV parks (obviously multiple stays at some locations) totaling 70,645 tow miles with 4 different RV's.

20 military campgrounds in 17 states
77 private campgrounds in 33 states
17 KOA campgrounds in 13 states
28 membership campgrounds in 23 states
0 national parks, state parks, BLM
19 campgrounds I'll never return to (terrible) in 16 states

Thanks for sharing your story.

I suppose my "bucket list" was a lot smaller than yours, and definitely not as complex. My life long goal was to own a fifth wheel trailer and a decent tow vehicle to tow it. That, quite obvious, was accomplished 5 years ago.

Another "goal" was to actually "camp" in every Indiana State Park and State Recreation area that had a campground. That was 100% completely accomplished about 4 years ago.

My next goal was to retire (and that happened), but once I retired to become a camp host. Well, I've just completed my 3rd year as a camp host for the months of July and August at a State Park in North Carolina. Plus, I do a "host" position through the State Park system in Louisiana. This year, it's a total of 8 months spent there.

Those were my only true goals I had, apart from raising the kids and owning a home, stuff like that.

I really have only 2 more items on my bucket list that I'd like to do ... at lest once in my life, but probably will never, never actually happen.

The first is to swim naked in a bath tub full of Jello. The second is to spend a day in a nudist camp! Like I said, neither will probably happen. But, just thinking about it puts a big smile on my face, and actually .... that's good enough!
