Battery replacement
Took the 434RL High Country up to our summer spot this weekend and noticed that the original battery was not holding a charge. Is there a particular size battery that I need to purchase or will any marine deep cell work? Does the box accept all sizes? Won't be back to our spot for a few weeks so I have some time to pick one up. Am considering looking at local Costco. I'm sure there are many opinions out there. Don't do much boondocking, only looking for a single cell replacement. Thanks for the input.

You should measure the box, but usually any deep cycle battery should work.

Assuming you have a Group 24 I would opp. for the slightly larger Group 27 I quite sure it will fit in the Box my did I would measure to be sure.
My recommendation would be purchase the top of the line RV Deep Cycle from one of the major auto parts Companies if you have Warranty issues no problem with Warranty replacement they are everywhere. The vast majority of the battery's are manufactured by Johnson Controls

I just took mine out and took it to the NAPA store and said give me your equivalent. Works fine. And since I took the old one back, saved having to pay a core deposit. But since you are apparently not near your trailer sounds like that is not an option.
I am not near my trailer either, but maybe someone can write down all the info on their OEM battery and post it for you, including size and amp rating.

Called Keystone this morning and they were very helpful, Any deep cycle is fine as long as it fits the box. Some oversized batteries will not fit. He also said that many people use two 6 volts instead of one 12V, but in my case we don't boondock that much so a single battery would be fine. No hurry as I will pull the bad one out next time we're up and measure the box then. Thanks for your help. Oh, we totally unplug the trailer from the post and stow the cable away as copper tends to walk away on it's own here and we have lots of summer thunderstorms. There is no source to replace cable nearby. Would ruin a great weekend!
