Finished the platform today!

It almost worked out to be big enough for the Montana, but not quite. The platform is 22 x 24. All that is left is to finish the off-side finger. We are looking big-time for camping opportunities now!! Here is a pic of the latest progress:

Slide show has been updated again for those that may be interested.

Bingo, are you spending more time on the water and in your yacht,
now that you have it in the water?
BTW, it really looks nice!

Hey Bill,
I have to confess that even though the water was less than ideal (after the heavy rains), I have had to take breaks from the work the last couple weekends for a couple of hours on the boat with DW and the girls. Will let you know when we are planning on camping so you can see if your schedule will allow us to go together. We will be lloking at Greenbo and/or Beech Fork, just don't know when. July is packed so far, last week of June as well. We know we have the rally so that may be our first opportunity (now that is sad!!!).

We’ll get together sometime I’m sure but if you really feel that bad, a boat ride might suffice for the meantime!

Bill,
Actually Sue (oops....I mean Cathy) is planning on having some kind of a big yard sale this Saturday (someone has to pay for this thing!!). I will be off and don't have any construction plans for this weekend (One last order needs placed for hardware after I return a few items for credit). If you all are freed up, let us know and we can have you down. Amanda got a kneeboard for Christmas and hasn't tried it out yet, so we (or at least I) may well be on the water most of the day if you are interested in joining us. Of course, this all depends on the cooperation of the weather and hoping the water in the river clears up some!! PM me if you think you may be interested.

Oh shucks, it sounds like fun but I have to return to work this weekend. I’ve been off since Thursday and have really been enjoying it.

Bingo, too many toys! Good for you. Glad your boat is in the back yard. Dock looks great!
Sincerly,
Jealous.

PowellsMonty,
Definitely agree on the toys statement. But on a good note, I have agreed to give my old motorcycle (1978 Suzuki GS1000) to my brother-in-law, so I am giving up one toy....Not really, since I have not been on it in over twenty years. Now isn't that a coincidence considering that we just celebrated our twentieth anniversary!! Oh and by the way, the boat is actually in the front yard since the house faces the river. Every time we sit on the front porch, there sits that daggone 2 mpg temptation., appreciate the compliments on the one-man job, no other person has been involved in the project.

Nice work Bingo. I just wish you would have let me help you with your planning so the Monty would fit on there. Sure is nice to not have to keep taking the toy out of the water all the time though, just jump in and start burning gas.
