Don't forget to take the weight of any large guard into account when looking at your vehicle weight limits. An extra 20 or 30 pounds might not make much difference, but a big steel unit may go over 100 lbs (or higher)(You ought to see some of the garish ones we get down here on ranch trucks! Good lord, talk about overkill!). Luckily, we've found that our front axle weight has always been well within its limits when weighing the rig. Usually you will have enough leeway under your GVWR to add this option.
