CHECKLISTS

I intend to develope checklists and short operator cards for each major system. I have not seen the manuals yet, so don't know how good they are and even if the have quick start guides, or etc.

If anyone has done some of these for Montana's, and if you would be so kind, how about posting them or somehow otherwise making them available.

I think you are wise to develop these check lists. Astronauts and pilots do it for safety reasons, so why shouldn't I. If you know your model, go to the Keystone site, select Montana, and look for a downloadable owners manual. This was very helpful to me. I not only printed it out, but also saved it to file in my laptop.

My unit was pre-enjoyed and the original owner didn't receive an owners manual from his dealer as extensive as one I downloaded. We made checklists for hookup and unhook protocols, both inside and outside the unit.

I also make little system notations from information I get off this forum, like the info on shackle replacement. We made up a book with dividers for the different systems, so when needed, I can usually go right to the information required. Have a great adventure.

when we bought one of our motorhomes (pre-montana) there was a premade check list that the previous owner had left us. the first question was...Is your spouce on board? made me wonder if he actually left her once...if so I bet it was ONLY ONCE!

check lists are good to have!
