Splendide washer/dryer combo

fired up the washer /dryer combo this past weekend and the vibration was unbelievable. shook the whole camper. combo is in the closet coming in front door. i know trailer needs to be level and the combo needs to be level but is there anything else i can do. just had a couple of things in it to test it out. drying was fine it was the spin cycle on wash. there are two spin speeds and we had it on high. not sure if lower would help. is this common for this unit?

Depends on what you call shaking the whole rig. Ours vibrates the whole rig, but I wouldn't call it shaking.

I think it's pretty normal for the washer to shake the rig when spinning. We are on our 5th rig with the combo unit and they all shake when the washer is spinning

Our 3582 has the same location and we do not have noticeable shaking when it is being used. My wife really likes having this combo unit on board.

I'm sure I will get a lot of disagreement with what I am about to say, but - We use a king pin stabilizer and we think it reduces the shake considerably. Our stackable units are in the bedroom, so are more toward the front than yours are. We had someone tell us the stabilizer didn't do any good, but we tried leaving it off and we could tell quite a difference.

If you only had a few items in the washer, it probably couldn't balance that small load, thus causing excessive vibration. Try it with a normal load, such as several pairs shorts, a few t-shirts and underware. Sometimes it will still get out of balance and shake things, but for the most part it will balance enough to minimize the vibration.

Dennis, are the legs on the washer adjusted so there zero wiggle sitting still?

If you have just have one or two things in it, it can't spread the load enough to balance.

Is the floor in the closet "rock solid"? If not it will need to be addressed.

First time on the site, If it was just installed check to see if they removed the shipping pins. There should be four this would cause violent shaking.

Even if the trailer is level you also need to level the washer with the adjustable feet on the washer. Also we have found to separate the washing and drying modes thus there is less high spinning with the load.
Also you should not over load it, when they say max 11 lbs of wet clothes for drying, they mean it. We never have issues with too little clothes.
