Attwood 90205 On-Demand Hot Water Heater

We replaced the old leaking water heater in our 2003 Monty with an Attwood 90205 On-Demand Hot Water heater. It's tankless so I was worried the water would not get hot enough. Just tested it out and WOW, that water came our really HOT, almost instantly. Easy install and very pleased with it..

Glad to know that they have overcome the initial problems regarding spotty hot water delivery. I would like to understand how it works out in regards to propane usage...so please use it for the approprite time and do an update. John

That is good news.

It's good to hear it's "almost instantly"! We have something similar at home but it takes a while for the hot water to flow....probably get maybe a gallon (maybe it's less....just seems to take a while) of cool water before the cold water flows. Actually, we get a cold water "sandwich" - cold...then hot...then cold again...then hot permanently. If it operates the same way in an RV we'd be using hot water 10 times - creating 7-10 gallons of grey water needlessly. Granted, the hot water doesn't have far to travel....that's a good thing. I guess the large grey tanks in the Montana's make this less of an issue. Only have a 30 gal grey tank now. Adding 7-10 gallons to that unnecessarily means some extra dumps with the blue portable container when not hooked up to sewer. Many times I just get by with 30 gallons of waste on a long weekend.

Please give us an update after you have some experience using it. Amount of water used and amount of propane used would be of interest to many of us.
