Ft. Myers to Naples

In our first season of snowbirding, we're at Crystal River. Love the "old Florida", good kayaking(for fishing), and bike trails. Miss the beaches. We're thinking of staying futher south next winter somewhere from Ft. Myers to Naples with reasonably close access to gulf beaches, bike trails, and good areas for kayak fishing(Crystal River is VERY nice for kayaks). Our daughter lives in Ft. Lauderdale and it would be easier to visit each other without being "too close", and a more "average" winter would be warmer. We're traveling to see her next weekend and are taking I-75 down to visit a few campground on the way such as Pine Island KOA, Woodsmoke, Gulf Waters, and maybe a few others. Are there any recomendations for campgrounds in this area? We know there will be tradeoffs from where we are now such as higher campgound fees, and more traffic to name a few.

We liked Seminole Campground it $3600 for four months. Lots of shade clean neat park. It's an old KOA but you couldn't tell by looking at it now. There's water close by for boating, beaches close by too, I 75 would be about 5 min.. We are bikers and couldn't find that around Fort Myers so we are more inland away from the traffic, we don't ride on roads. Best of luck many, many to look at!
