San Antonia CG Recommendation?

On our way to WI from the RGV we plan to stop in San Antonio. Looking at either Traverler's World RV Park or Lake Braunig RV Park.
Considering Lake Braunig as it is PA park and would be about $100 cheaper than Traverler's. But then with the rising price of diesel would we end up spending savings on fuel as Traverlers has bus stop right at their enterance.

Fellow MOCers input greatly appreciated.

We have stayed at Lake Braunig RV Park several times (when we run from hurricanes) and like it. It is a short drive about 10 min to riverwalk. not bad.

We have stayed at Travelers World. A nice park and would stay there again if we go back to San Antonio in the Monty. Right on a main street to downtown about 2 miles. That street crosses the Riverwalk and parking lots next to it. Also a bus stop in front of the park if you prefer not to drive downtown. Pull thrus are very roomy, backins a little closer but did not look bad at all.
Apparently cater to snowbirds as we were there in late March and they were having a complimentary going away dinner for the snowbirds getting ready to head back north.
Have not stayed at Lake Braunig RV Park. Farther out, but right near the interstate so downtown would still be pretty easy.

Either is a good choice for visiting SA.

If you do decide on Braunig, try for their premium sites. Much better than the regular and $25 a night PA Rates.

Also, if you use Braunig, or anywhere else and you want to drive into SA. Almost directly behind The Alamo is an all day parking lot for $10. I used to use it with my F350 long bed, Crew cab, King ranch with no problem at all. The Street in front of the Alamo is one way, so the street just before The Alamo, turn right (E Crockett St), then follow around the curve and take the very next left(Bonham St). That will put you directly behind The Alamo. Proceed down that street and you will see the parking lot on the right, but you have to turn right (E Houston St.) on the next street for the entrance.

Parking Lot Click on Birds Eye View and zoom into the parking lot, or just drag and look around.

One of The River Walk entrances is across the street from The Alamo.
We will be in the SA area from May 4 through May 16 at Fr. Sam Houston, then down to Corpus for a Week at the NAS.

Happy Trails.
