wWe were in Lake Placid yesterday. Everyone but one elderly woman had a mask on while walking the very congested sidewalks. All of the stores and restaurants had something like No mask, No service. That town is in NYs large Essex County but has a permanent population of about 40,000 and maybe 20,000 daily tourists, summer and winter. Their virus count is a whopping 56 with 0 deaths. It was holding at about 25 until some woman from Florida showed up maskless at a church service in Ticonderoga 3-4 weeks ago. Our seasonal site there has very stringent mask and social distancing rules and why we usually are there on weekdays. Masks and social distancing work - and yes, it IS tough to eat and drink with a mask, but be sensible.

If you are from one of the 34 states and territories. you might want to reschedule your vist to the Adirondacks or the Finger Lakes Wine Trail. Or even Niagara Falls since you can't see them from Canada either.

Florida governor has required masks be worn in all buildings. Restaurants (in & outside) are open to 50% capacity (every other table). Masks have to be worn till you get to your table; servers have to wear masks always.
you're not required to wear a mask outside in other businesses (ie lawn & garden ctr).
Beaches are open. They say stay 6' apart, but it's difficult with so many people.
Schools just opened. Some parents/students have opted for eLearning (computer) so schools & school busses are only at about 40% occupancy.
I'll be glad when this virus is over, I hate wearing a mask--makes my nose run.
wherever you are, stay safe

My county is still shut down. other counties around us are open. We have had a few fires in the area and the air is very smokey. It's a risk to eat outside and you will get a touch of ash in your food. Restaurants here are going out of business every day as this continues.

Restaurants are open here in the Denver area during this overblown hysteria, but with limited seating indoors, and some outdoor seating, as well. Governor’s edict requires a mask to enter any public building.

We are able to eat outside for the most part. Masks required indoors. Our problem is there are three prisons in our county whose covid affected are counting toward our numbers. Plus the state is releasing inmates who were exposed from other counties into ours. As such it raises the count high enough to prevent restaurants and other business to open equally with other counties.

This Thread is about the status of restaurants in your area. Let's try to stay on topic and not drift into political statements (some of which have been removed).
