Improper Micro wave installation

We have a 2020 HC331RL We just installed a Convection / microwave High Pointe Model EC942K6BE and removed the regular microwave Insignia model NS-OTR16SS8Q. The High Point is what Keystone is installing now. The issue on the removed unit was the exhaust fan blower was not installed correctly when it was installed. It was installed like it had a VERTICAL exhaust which it does not have. The blower was adjusted to blow the Hot Air directly to the bottom of the cabinet it was attached to. Eventually it could have caused a fire. When I installed the convection oven the blower vent has to be blowing forward and out the upper front of the unit. Picture below is of the removed microwave with blower shown in the vertical position.

Mine was installed correctly. It was made to point toward the outside vent. They did however forget to remove the silver diverter so it could actually pass the air outside. I could see the aluminium block off plate when I was opening the vent cover for the first time. Grabbed it with pliers and wrenched it out.

Easy job. Remove the screws holding the aluminum fan cover and remove and reorient the fan to the back for direct exhaust out the outside vent. If the covers for the top exhaust are missing you will want cover them with aluminum duck tape. Have done this on several microwaves. The one in my rv came with the fan oriented to blow out the front which was NOT good.

The manual says to have the blowers to blow out the front Because ours does not have vents either vertical or Horizontal

Your rv doesn't have a vent to the outside? That convection oven really needs to vent outside.

That's probably why it came with a regular microwave. I am not familiar with your HC but would not think it would be difficult to put in a outside vent.

I am not going to punch a hole in the slide out The convection / micro wave can vent inside is fine for us. Our house has the same thing and it works fine.

Here is what it should look like for a ventless installation with the blowers in this position the exhaust is ducted to blow out the front upper vents of the unit.

We recently replaced our Microwave/Convection with a new one. There was no outside vent for the old one. Vents to the inside through the upper grill. We've used the convection and doesn't seem to be a problem.
