Hot water
I have a 2008 Montana 3400RLQ we live in it full time and it has been -2 during the night time. My hot water is fine in the kitchen but in the bathroom sink and shower we have cold water but no hot water. I have a heater going in the basement area and the furnace on 80 trying to unfreeze the lines. Any suggestions please.

Might try keeping the hot water taps open until it starts flowing again then shut them off. Keep the heat going in the basement, That is your best bet right now!!! I have a heater going in my basement also and it really does help keep things going. Also, keep your cabinet doors open under sinks so warm air can get there.
We are in Mount Juliet, TN, where are you located from there?

Hi Lynn, Yes we are Full Timers for about 3 years now. I also recommend a heated water hose if you don't have one yet. They are a little pricey but well worth it in the long run and a lot safer then using heat tape on your water hose!
After this winter so far in Tennessee I am beginning to think that another suggestion would be to move further South!!
If you need anything else or other questions please feel free to PM or E-Mail me anytime.

when its that cold you might try trickling your hot water in the bathroom sink. In that model the hot water line from the hw heater to the bath area runs under the kitchen flooring and does not get much heat.

X2 what vangoes said. Our first December in central Illinois I had one morning where our interior water lines froze (2008 3400RL). I had numerous suggestions on if I should leave water dripping or a slow stream running. Some said you shouldn't because it could freeze in your discharge, back up, and flood your trailer. Some said it was okay to do. I ended up turning on my hot water, slightly more than a drip, in both sinks and letting it run. Never had another issue when the temps got around 20 degrees or below. Also never ran out of hot water.
