Apparently the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration takes safety issues like this seriously. They are going to investigate! How many out there have these broken emergency handles that can't seem to get replaced?
My dealer called last week to tell me that they received a replacement one for me. I am suspicious that it is the long arm latch and not the one I need. Has anyone had these rear window latches correctly replaced with the right part from Keystone or a dealer?

Do a Google search and you will find many RV salvage yards such as Colaw salvage in Carthage MO.

Colaw DOES NOT DO TOWABLES. ONLY MOTORHOMES.

My selling dealer (LazyDays) had assured me that they had received my handle. When I contacted them to see how long it was and how many mounting holes it had we discovered that it was the long one with two mounting holes, and not the correct one.
While my service guy was looking into that he discovered that their parts department had just received a box full of short replacement handles with two mounting holes. He sent me a photograph with a tape measure next to it. Sure looks like the correct one. Will find out the first part of May when we tow the Monte back to them for final warranty work (now 3 months after warranty is expired).

#65532;Have a 2015 3725RL. Rear egress window latch broke. I have purchased a new one. How difficult is it change out the old and replace with the new? The old is held in place with rivets but I am thinking I can drill them out and replace with correctly sized bolts and nuts.
Has anybody done this kind of repair?
Thanks,
Mike

The rivets can be easily removed by using a drill bit that is larger than the center hole size on the flush side of the rivet. Rivets and a rivit tool are not that much money. Check them out at lowes, home depot, ace hardware, etc. You might be able to use bolts with nylock nuts...but I would stick with rivets. John

I'm having a tuff time believing the emergency window latch for my 2018 Montana is going to cost $80 and $25 to ship from Keystone. Is this a ripoff or what?

You might try other sources first. No idea what rig you have, but here is a latch assembly that might work. https://www.ebay.com/itm/28394046899...6845ba3b5c6554

That's for the info. I may be able to use this solution if I modify where the hinge mounts to the window. Mine slides in a track that attaches to the window with a small screw holding tension on the hinge.

Ours broke twice. The next one I bought was from a different manufacturer. It's thicker. I drilled out the old ones on the window and used pop rivets.. I don't open that window now. It's held for 8 years.
