Lippert auto level

I am new to this system, just got our Montana. My question is - what fluid is used in the reservoir and what is the level to maintain ? It looks low to me but do not want to overfill either.

Scott,

It uses Dextron ATF. Check the fluid with all the jacks and slides retracted, it should be 2-3 inches below the top. Fluid in reservoir should be changed every 5 years or so. Download the Lippert app or manual for more detail.

Keystone has changed lubricants in newer model. Older rigs used Dextron type ATF fluid. Newer units (I don't know the years) use hydraulic fluid. The difference between to the two is visual. Red fluid is ATF, clearish fluid is Hydraulic Fluid.
I am sure a Search will find the same question and answers.

One other thing...
Don't add any fluid if your slides are out and landing gear down, otherwise you might have a mess when you bring your slides in.
You want to check the fluid level with landing gear UP and slides IN.
