Marker light wire fell back inside

HELP! On my 2007 3400RL the wire on the top left front marker light fell inside the cap. I tried fishing it out but can’t see where it went. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

With any kind of luck, it is daisy chained to the middle marker light. Remove that light and see if you can find the dropped wire. Otherwise, can can try fishing around with a hooked wire to see if you get lucky. There is also the option to cut a hole in the bedroom closet to access the back of the cap.

I don’t think that era trailers have a center front marker light, just a top front left and top front right. They do have rear cap lights at each top corner and in the center. Since there is a marker light on the left side lower middle of the trailer and the left rear top marker light and taillight, and a marker light on the right side lower middle of the trailer and the right rear top marker light and tail light, and then the top rear center lights, the big question is wire routing. From the 7 pin trailer cord, are all those lights daisy chained together in one long string? Doesn’t seem likely. Does the 7 pin cord wire split with one wire going down the right wall to the rear and another down the left wall to the rear? Does the wiring run thru the ceiling? Under the trailer? Some combination? Or something completely different?

Maybe someone who has been on factory tours might remember seeing that wiring before it was covered up.

Might be time to start considering pulling a new wire. All the wires for the 7-pin run through the battery compartment area; you could pick it up there. Whatever you do is not going to be easy; There is insulation behind the cap. These photos are of a 2018 or 2019 model.

Is this left side as in drivers side or looking at the cap passengers side?

It would help to know, then I can tell you what needs to be done to fix it. With out making a lot of holes. I just fixed that problem with mine.

Lost upper marker light wires

The wires that fell back into the front cap is on the drivers side. I did cut a large hole on that side but still can’t find the wires.

I'd leave the light non-functional before I started cutting holes in the cap.

I cut a hole inside the bedroom wall. After removing the 6” vertical panel to the far left I found the allusive wires. They were in the far left bottom of the cap in plain site. HALLELUJAH !!!

No wonder you couldn’t fish them out. Glad you found them.

They make a Toner for telephone wires. This too could have worked.. they sell them at the home depot.
