Quartzsite

On the way back from having Thanksgiving with my brother-in-law, we stopped at "Q" for a couple of nights. Even in late November, there were quite a few RVs...from Blythe to "Q" to Plomosa Road and half way to Bouse, we were never out of sight of an RV.

I hope our wagonmasters arrive early enough in January to get a really great spot (like last year). There are a few new RV dealerships in town but La Mesa has not opened so far. Several of the people we talked to were unsure if they would make it back after their lock-out.

Earlier this year, La Mesa's creditors placed their own locks on the gates and doors of the dealership...literally locking out the dealership. I understand that financial support has since been obtained to reopen the business - no idea how much support, what kind of re-organization is happening, or what will happen at Quartzsite this year.

La Mesa RV has moved a lot of units into Parker. They are at the entrance to Blue Water. They are also doing a lot of TV ads. They must have some money.

This past Monday, I drove by the Bluewater. I saw signs saying "Paul Evert's RV". Maybe Paul Evert bought La Mesa's stock there
