Need help mounting new TV

Just installed a new Vizio 50" TV. The new TV attaches to the swing arm mount so it hits the top of the cabinet. Would it be easier to lower the mount at the wall or drill the plate the TV attaches to or some other option? Thanks

I replaced my bedroom television and ran into the same problem. I lowered the mount rather than drill bracket. Good luck with your project!!

Jdarwin - search for a recent thread titled “Replace TV” - I have pics for how I raised the mounting plate on the back wall. Sounds like you need to lower yours. Easy peasy.

Thanks Mikendebbie. Looked at the pics and can see it’s an easy fix.
