My non-elec drip coffee maker arrived

I guess this would be a "cooking" issue. I posted this on rv.net but wanted to share with this forum in case you don't get over there.

I've been searching for a good drip coffee maker with a carafe that did not require electric. I found one on the Melitta site and ordered one. It's called the, "Cafe Euro Thermal Coffeemaker". Comes in black or white and 3 sizes.

I tried it out his morning and I love it. It's all I expected (or hoped) it would be. I bought the 6 oz carafe. It has a cone that you place on top. You place in a #4 melitta cone filter, put the grounds in, heat the water in a kettle on the gas stove, and pour over grounds. When the coffee has dripped through, two minutes tops at the speed at which I poured the water in, take off the cone and screw on the top. The inside of the carafe is glass. (not plastic)

Now my coffee stays hot. The carafe is portable, the price was right, and I can still set it up the night before, except for heating the water. Doesn't take up as much space as the electric drip and stores very easlily. In fact the carafe will probably being riding in LadyRam when I hook up and go.

I took a look a the new Coleman non-elec drip you use on the gas range, at Wally World but I felt it was just too big and bulky.

I'm going to try to give you a link, but since I can't go to practice without losing this message I'll have to do it from memory. That's pretty risky! Different forums do it different ways. I think this one is the old standard way.
