Ozz still around this site?
Several years ago I bought a new set of steps from Ozz for our 2955. When he shipped them he included a bag of spare nuts and bolts at no charge with a cool note. Said anybody with a Montana needed to be carrying them. There were a couple of bolts for the landing legs drive and a couple more for the slideouts drive. Well now this week I found myself on the road near the Nebraska/South Dakota state line in a small campground in the country. While putting my slides out, the front end of the living room slide stopped moving. Investigation revealed a broken bolt in the driveshaft on one end. A remembrance of Ozz's bag of bolts sprung into my head, and sure enough there they were in the storage compartment of one of the dining chairs. About 15 minutes later with the help of the campground owner's son, we had trued up the slide, replaced the bolt, and I was one happy camper! Thanks Ozz wherever you are Buddy!

Haven't seen or heard of Ozz in several years, but he was a great help to many on this forum and has been missed.

You could just send him a PM. I'm sure he would enjoy knowing you were able to use his gift of bolts. I still have the little plastic bag of his bolts he gave me.

Looks like he’s not too active there either. Got out of the RV parts and into the leather business a while back. Thanks for the replies!

The last time I talked to him, he was making holsters and even made some rattlesnake protectors for your legs.
