Slide Aluminum Skirting Damage

Morning All,

Has anyone had to replace the aluminum skirting on the slide for a High Country 330RL? As you can see from the photograph, I took some damage and I need to source a complete section. Been to the dealer and they are contacting Keystone but say over a month wait at least. Any other source to obtain a matching panel?

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Andrew

Some have gone to a sheet metal shop and had one made and then painted it or had it painted to match. The issue with ordering one is the high cost of shipping.

Also - even if you order it - it will come unpainted and you will need to get it painted. Had to get a skirt replaced on my 2017 Keystone Laredo by the dealer. They had to paint it to match.

Painted already.. you will have to use old one as template to trim as needed... Shipping will be expensive

I had a few panels done from my dealer last fall took over a month to get the parts .you can try trekwood. I would call them to find out for sure if they have it in stock. It maybe a month out with them too

Someone posted they cost something like $150-250. However, shipping was > 300 if memory serves.

If you can work with a local dealer, you might get them to let it get a free ride to their location.
First time out with our 1991 Prowler TT, ran over a piece of metal that put a big gash in the front metal. Ordered a replacement section thru my Dealer/Friend and had it shipped from the Factory in the next RV for his inventory.

If you are handy with basic tools, that sheet aluminum panel is not hard to remove. You could then take it to a metal fab shop and have them make one. Then to a paint shop to get it painted. Then reinstall. Probably be a lot cheaper than ordering the panel and hoping it doesn't get damaged in shipment.

i just recently replaced a panel on the back right side of my RV. Ran into same issues with ordering. Took the old panel off and took it to a sheet metal shop. They made a new for me with about a week wait. Then took it to a body shop and they matched the color and painted it. Process took about two weeks and i think i saved about $200.00 getting it done. Installed it yesterday and it looks great.
