First A Boat, now a Montana

My wife have done the house thing, condo thing, and then we went to living on a 45’ Trawler. We were driving 1 hour up to our business and 1 hour back daily..so we decided we needed to put something close to our Shop. We started with a 32 foot Springdale and discovered after 2 months that it was a tad tight so traded it in for a 2021 41’ 3761FL Montana. I am not a fan of flushing out all the issues with new, but here we go. Love it so far. Missing our boat, but this definitely makes it bareable.

We are located in Florida so AC is a must and seem to work well!

Glad I found this forum so I can learn more about this great RV.

I added a third AC, towing in 95+ temps, gets it lowered quicker

Mine was installed to run separately - heard some wired it in were the dryer was wired in - it is truly a load balance situation that is easier if using soft starts

I have a hardwired Progressive EMS - this has a remote display so it is easy to see loads on each leg. Do highly recommend the Progressive surge protector since it also protects from high and low voltage

Welcome to the forum! My third AC runs off the 30 or 20amp outlet in the pedestal so all three run at once.

Of course, if you become too distraught over not having a boat, there is always a sea going motor home you can get into. https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/c...by-land-or-sea

We still own the trawler...just having AC issues and no way are we gonna try and sleep on that boat with a non working AC (the boat has 3 ac's but you need at least 2 of them running to be somewhat comfortable). Anyways, its only an hour away so if I need my fix just go down to the Marina. My dreams of heading over to the Bahamas with the boat kinda squashed now so figured I would start to explore more of the great country we live it.

One of our customers has a boat in Florida, 72 feet with 2 2800 horsepower Diesel engines. It’s out of my price range. I couldn’t afford the diesel fuel to start it.

We live like 15 mins from lake Erie and never had a boat. I am not a water person our SIL does have a big Grady white in Florida that we get out on every once in awhile.
