Summer is cancelled

We have been on the road since 2006 with out a single hitch .This year got us.

Helen fractured a bone in her knee and is on Crutches and a knee brace. She can not get into the Rv and it is very hard for her to move around. I have a old knee injury that decided to turn into arthritis and I can barley move. We are both immobile. Travel, rallies , etc have been cancelled . We are not happy campers but that is life.We should be good for the fall rally and have not cancelled out of that......yet.

We will be moving the Montana back into the store position. We are having a stair lift installed Friday .We live in a tri level and we are tired of crawling up the steps to the third level .

We have great neighbors and they are doing everything for us.

Bummer Rich. Here's hoping recovery is smooth and you will make the fall rally as planned.

We are sorry to hear of the (hopefully temporary) medical maladies plaguing you two. If you are interested in a lift contact Crossthread. He is the one with the lift Mudchief saw in Q. It is a very nice system and works well.

Hope you both get healed and look forward to seeing you at the Rally.

Check out the lift options for your Montana; I have seen them also and they look very effective!

We are Doing a bit better Helen is still on crutches and knee brace will see next week if she can get off the crutches . I am awaiting a MRI to see what is moving around in my knee and Micro surgery will likely follow. The stair lift we installed is a huge help should have got it years ago. We are down but not out.

One of the reasons we moved from a 2 story to a single home. New at some point it would be a problem getting up and down the stairs. Hopeful for a quick recovery. Old age isn't for wimps. I spend more time in doctors offices and more operations.

And to think they have an Montana model now with stairs on both ends. I have the same model as Richard and installed an extra step inside the rv and made the other steps shorter by about 1 and a half inches on account of my wifes pair of artificial knees.
