I was told they should be at dealers and on the website before the end of the year.

The changes are real nice. We oreded a 13 3750 and it will have all of the upgrades. This may sound silly but we are excited about he 12 inch frame. We currently have a 10 3750 and in our opinion a 10 inch fame is too small for 39'. We had too much bounce in our rear and sometimes it just look like it had a bit of sag to it. We spoke with mike Mack and he through all of the updates and it will look like a new coach on the inside. Looking forward to the 46' Sony hidden behind a retractable mirror.

The Redwood which is very Comparable with the Montana Had a 12inch frame and the added weight put it out of the range of our truck. The newer trucks can handle the weight. We were told the new rigs are longer and heavier so the bigger frame was necessary. IMO the added weight will put the new rigs out of range on many of our trucks.IMO the new design rig we saw at the rally are a big step up for the Montana line. We wre madded than a Hornet when we saw the new 3900 at the factory having just purchased a new 2013 Big Sky. We would purchas the 3900 in a heart beat.

I looked at the weight ratings for the new units and the 3900 was only 285 lbs more than my 3455sa. That was with the levelups, G614 tires and 12" beams, didn't seem to make much more weight!
Rich, I heard you wanted that extra bath for the bird, is that right?

Will the new model year, the 12" frame, actually be the 2014 model year? I have a 2013 and it does not have 12" frame.

Rich,

Just trade your Big Sky back in for the new floor plan...it's only money. The 12" frames are nice and really change the dynamic of how the coach tows.

I wonder is some of this is a push from Thor, it sure sounds like they are pushing the Montana line towards our SOB (can't mention the name, but Rich did). With the Cherry finish and 12 inch frame. Our forty footer has a gross of 16500.

Steve you have the newer truck with the higher tow rating. The 3900 would be over my 08 Ford rating. That big ole bath in the back would be real nice for the full timer/longtimer. It is still a work in progress will be interested to see what it looks like at the Tampa show. These guys are getting longer and heavier and I am not sure that is a good idea.

Actually Rich, I thought the half bath was taking up too much living room space. They moved the kitchen back about 4 feet and that came from the l/r.
Gross on the 3900 was 15,685lbs, that should be in your range. That was with all the new goodies.
Busycarol, those changes are on the 2013s being built now. Keystone makes changes from day to day.

12 inch frame, I think we like, I think Jolly could tote, err, pull it.

Like the new front, parts of it anyway, it shhhhhhhoooooorreee is purdy. But, as Steve E pointed out, it took away from the kitchen/living room area.

Now, I know I don't use the kitchen too much for intended purposes, that is what they make restaurants for, BUT, I was feeling claustrophobic in a short order in that front room.

For me, not gonna work, I am looking for MORE living area, less sleeping area. Face it, we spend a good hunk of the 24 hours sleeping, but, mmmm, being asleep, I don't notice the room or lack thereof. The other hunk of my 24, I spend in the living area. Nope, smaller is NOT gonna make it for this gal.

But, it is purdy!

Have to say the new 3900 floor plan is nice. The DW loves our 3580 with the island but would have to see it in person to see about the new kitchen layout.

Love the back "master" bath.

Guess we are going to be bringing our check book with us to next years Hershey show.....you know, just in case!

Mac,
I'd have to find a floor plan that had the rounded corner shower. The full tub is too narrow for my broad shoulders. His would be a good one to snag if/when it comes up for sale. Well cared for and in perfect operating condition.

Steve the GVWR on our 3402 Big sky is 15895 and I would like to know how they went to the 12 inch frame and and it is lighter than mine ???? The biggest thing I miss is a large bathroom when we are on a long stay, Accoeding to Helen it did not have enough inside storage spacer and that may change. There are other things I do not care for but that big bath made a impression on me.

lets see what it turned into at the Tampa show..

Must be impressive, but will have to see before I would say comparable to a Redwood.

Let's see now, I spend a good amount of time in the living area, a fair amount of time in bed and far less time on the pot or in the shower. Maybe space ought to be allocated in the same way.
