It depends totally on how your installer did the cable connections. I believe you will have to try it to know for sure. I do know that with our roof satellite, we can use the cable connection as well as the on-air antenna, and thanks to the foresight of the installer, all are available at the same time by changing the menu selections on the television. I have never yet had to use the cable connection, the dish is the auto-seek kind (hopefully that is the same type you had installed), and I have yet to have need for cable.

I have a roof mount, But I do have to make some changes in the cable (remove jumper) , and switch at the sat/cable location in the utilities box. Our dealer showed us the procedure when he installed the roof antenna, and I can (and do) use both the rv park cable and outside antenna when appropriate. We just spent four weeks in Canada, and had to use park cable for the entire trip until we got to Vancouver, then it began working again.
From watching the install, there are various ways to hook up the roof dish, so probably will need to talk to the installer unless you want to spend some time chasing which coax goes to what. I also got an HDMI splitter, so I can watch the bedroom and outside tv on at the same time, while having the living room tv on a different direct tv box.

As mentioned depends on the set-up. We too have the roof mounted auto dish, so it has it's own cables to our DirecTV Rcvrs, which leaves the cable input in the convenience center for park cable. That is exactly how we're connected right now, use our Dish for most of our channels, but the park cable for the local news and weather.
