acronym meaning
What does the floorplan acronyms mean such a 3455SA? Is there a list of meanings?

"RE" is rear entertainment; "RK" is rear kitchen; "RL" is rear living; "FL" is front living and "SA" is a mystery to me! The model numbers used to indicate a units length but that's unreliable these days. For instance, a 3455SA isn't 34'5" but 37"4" and a 3150RL is 34'5".

I see that the 3455SA is an "RK" model so maybe Keystone decided to get fancy with the model designations and replaced "RK" with "SA" meaning something like "snacks aft". OK, maybe not!

SA = Side Aisle, the entrance to the upper level, usually the bedroom, is on the side of the unit, not up the middle.
Numbers as moutard2 pointed out, do not necessarily reflect length, in fact, most of us just laugh at that idea. our 3295 is almost 38 feet long, if you count how much real estate it takes to get it on a campsite, and include the ladder and all of the nose.

I read somewhere that SA means Slide Aisle. The confusion I am looking to clear up is the 3455...3400... and so on. As moutard2 indicated with Keystone products these numbers no longer are the correct length. That said there must be an answer?

Actually, the 3455SA is a Rear Living rather than a Rear Kitchen. The 3585SA is a rear kitchen with a side Aisle.

I was led to believe the model number is the square footage of living area... i.e. 3150 is 315.0 square feet of living area...
I could very well be wrong though...

Now that makes a lot of sense and I'm betting that you're bang on with that! Thanks Tim!

Nope, not area, our old 3400 was close to 400 sq. ft. as is the 3750.

Was told one time that the number was an approximation upon the first design of how long the unit may be. I laughed at that too.
Best way to determine the lengths and such is to start with the Keystone web page, then, go LOOK at the model in person, and take your tape rule with you.
SA is side aisle, no matter if it is a rear kitchen or rear living room. By the way, some models that side aisle goes up on the street side of the unit, some side aisles go up the curb side. Look at the model layouts on the Keystone pages, nothing that says SA will have a center enter for the area up stairs (for most of us that will be the bedroom).

If anyone ever figures out what the floorplan (numbers) represent let us all know, it is still a mystery.

I don't thing the number mean much anymore. I think we were told on the Factory tour that any model 34XX and above were 400 sq ft. would be more except Fed Regs limit to 400

Our previous 2880RL was 30'11" long and rear living room. Our new 3000RK is 35'6" and rear kitchen. Don't know what the square footage is.

I still think it has to do with sq footage...I measured ours and calculated the area. Got real close to the 303 designation ours has.

I tried this with my 2955 and it worked out to 295.5 square feet.

As I said previously, a 3400 has way more square footage than 340. It is very close to 400. A 3750 has more square footage than 375 as well, it is also close to 400. I do not believe that the number designations have any thing to do with the area of a rig.
