Granddaughter's Reason for Truck Failure

Our 6 year old granddaughter told me the reason our truck broke down recently was because it is old and we travel too much. Her solution was for us to stop traveling and stay here (where she lives). Makes sense!

Grandkids always have a fresh perspective on life. That's why they are fun to be around.

Returning home after a trip without any grands, I told our granddauther 6 at the time that I had missed her. The reply said it all, "well if yiu take me with you then you would not miss me". She went on the next trip.

We take our grandkids for a week camping trip every summer and love every minute of it. It will end now for our 14yo twin grandsons as they have moved to Germany. Our son's kids will continue the practice. It is getting harder to decide where to go as they are varying ages. Next year it will be girl 9, boy 7, & boy 4. The only thing that will unite them is a swimming pool.

We have a plaque at home that reads, "Grand children are your reward for not strangling your teenage kids."

I would translate that into in her expert 6 year old opinion you need a new truck. And everyone knows Grandma cannot argue with a grandkid and grankids do no wrong. So get to the dealer quick before your grandkid changes her mind. Better yet take grandma and the grandkid and let the grandkid pick the color. I will bet she loves the sunroof and upgraded stereo. She probably likes the sound of a diesel too!!! And what grandkids want they get. At least around here anyway.

My wife has a plaque hanging in the kitchen;
Grandchildren are the reward you get for not strangling your teenagers.
Oh so true.
