2010 Big Sky Question - Montana Owners Club

Our 2010 Big Sky was missing the table lamp and also the remote, ipod dock and instrucion manual for the Samsung surround sound unit. Well, they got us a remote but it doesn't work the surround unit and the ipod dock doesn't play the ipod. Also, the pewter lamp base came with a black shade hoop and black ball on top. I'm curious if anyone with a 2010 Big Sky could tell me if the hardware on the lamp matches the base (pewter/pewter or brushed nickel)and if the Samsung unit came with an ipod dock an if it plugs in the back or front of the surround sound receiver. Also, if you have the Samsung model, that would be great. I believe the one in the Big Sky is different than in the Montana. But, that may have changed. Thanks in advance.

Ron, we should have checked that out when we were up there. My ipod dock is useless to me and the new Samsung is the same in the Montana as the Big Sky. Don't know what you have to do with the remote, but it should program, we do have the manual.
If you don't get it figured out by the rally, you can try out our manual or get one from the factory tour.

We have the Samsung TV (a new one, put in by our dealer, after the ViewSonic in our rig was removed) that came without a Sanyo remote. We were given a generic remote to use with the unit, but like you've discovered, you can't use it with the Sanyo, even if the generic remote is programmed to operate your Sanyo mode. We had to order the correct remote from Sanyo by going to their web site; the remote plus shipping was about $35, which the dealer says we will be reimbursed for the next time we have our Montana in the shop. Even though our model is a Montana, not a Big Sky, I saw the same Sanyo models in the Big Sky rigs on the lot. We didn't get an iPod dock.

Well, the dealer ordered a whole new surround system afte talking to Keystone and Samsung. So, I guess I'll get the full package - remote, manual and ipod dock. As for the lamp, I think we can take care of that on the tour.

The Samsung unit in our coach has the ipod port on the back. It matched the manual our dealer gave us. According to the manual, it should recognize the ipod, which it does. But the remote doesn't seem to work the unit at all and it won't play the ipod. Keystone and Samsung were on the phone together and said we had a unit that didn't play the ipod (why is there an ipod jack on the back?). I believe they gave us the wrong stereo and since they forgot to send the bag with the remote, manual, ipod dock, etc. - my guess is that they are not matched components. The dock and remote may not belong to that unit. Just curious what others had in their new Big Sky or Montana.

Also, curious if anyone with a Big Sky has a black ball and lamp shade hoop on their table lamp.

We have the Samsung in our new Big Sky and it does not have an i-pod stand nor a remote to play it. We have the silver on our lamp that matches the base. For some reason I think I remember looking at the lamp in a Big Sky with the midnight interior and I vaguely can picture the black.

If the lamp in the Big Sky is no better than the one in the Montana--it has a black base and a white shade--don't worry about it and jsut get a new one. I just bought a new one. The Montana one looks nice but is too shbedroom iort for a living room lamp--it is more like a dresser lamp
