New 3400 Finally

Well, we got our new 3400 from Beckley's in Maryland on Tuesday and last night the weather in the area froze our hose. Next time I will know better how to handle it. But like everyone else, we are new overwhelmed with moving in and learning how to do everyting. I must say, it feels great to finally see all the things I have been reading about.
Thank each and everyone of you who helped directly and indirectly in getting us safely to this point.
Best regards
Nick and Mariln
PS Paul Chamberlain at Beckleys was super helpful in teaching us so much.

Congratulations on your beautiful rolling estate. Heater tape is your answer to the outside incoming water. Follow the directions and use the foamed pipe insulation around the tape and the hose. Wrap the the faucet post with newspaper. The heater tape fires up at 38 degrees and shuts off at 45. It was 26 degrees two nights ago and nothing froze up.

Nick- They make a hose that is already heat-taped and insulated. I saw it somewhere while looking for "items I can't live without". I'll go back and check and see where I saw it and repost to this thread if I do find it.

Congratulations on your new 3400RL. It won't be long and you will be an old pro at doing things with that new unit.

We purchased ours from Beckley's also. We got it last October but have not been able to use it yet. It is about to kill me!!! Hopefully our truck will be ready by April and we can get on the road :-)

Congrats.... I am jealous my unit it still in build and I am getting very antsy waiting.
Good thing about Florida is we do have many freezing days.

I lived in Maryland for 11 years and forgo about freezing pipes...

Good Luck with your new Coach and many years of good service

Contratulations on that new rig!

Another thing you can do is fill the fresh water tank with the hose, then disconnect and drain the hose until the tank needs filled again.

Congrats on the new unit. I know you will enjoy it. Please don't be put off if a few things break or are not quite right. This seems to be the norm with these beasts. Like a new home, once you get the kinks worked out they are great.......
