Wow, I love this forum! The info is invaluable! I did not know you could do an oil anaysis. Thanks everyone... and thanks, Wendell! My problem is selling my two vehicles before I can buy my tv. My Park Ave should not be a problem, but my wife's Blazer will be a challenge. I looked at that 2002 2500HD yesterday and the body is in excellent shape. Whoever owned it did not take it off road very much, if at all. Anyway, the dealer mentioned that everyone is trading in their mid sized SUVs. Makes sense. Tthe main market for these Blazers, Bravadas, etc are people who cannot afford these high gas prices. They have flooded the market. People who own Escalades, Excursions, etc have not yet financially "hit the wall". I have my car on AutoTrader.com and there are only three Park Aves within 100 miles for sale. There are 139 Blazers. That's a tough market!

Dsprik, those nada numbers are amazing. I guess I really am out of touch and my age is showing. But then many of the new autos out there I think are ugly are favorites of the kids.
I agree with Rich the diesel is not the part to worry the most about. I can tell you of diesels from Ford and GM that have run just as long as the Cummins, with proper maintenance. My brother works with them. They're all good so I wouldn't worry about that part but the rest of the truck is where I'd worry, as Rich said.

Thanks, Steve. I know the truck body is in excellent shape, hard to find a scratch or stone chip anywhere on it. But a wheel bearing did just go out on it... dealer is fixing it. I have a 2000 Park Ave that I absolutely love and it has 160,000 on it. I know this is when you need to start getting your wallet out for these sort of things starting to give out on them, but $17,900 might be worth a couple $K of repairs... taking a chance though. I do know it has a new transfer case.
I read one of your posts tonight where you mentioned that if you had to shift your money one way or the other between tv and 5ver, you would tend to go with the unit you planned on spending the most time in. I agree. I would go with more into the fifth wheel coach.
Are a whole bunch of ballons going up on your 10,000th post?????

Also agree with Steve on shifting more money to the camper..You will most likely have the camper a lot longer that the TV and spend much more time in it..That is one reason We did not buy a King Ranch a really nice truck but chose to divert the $ to a bigger, better camper.
