Replacement tires

I want to exchange the trailer king tires on the new trailer we will pick up this week with the Goodyear G614. For those that have upgraded, what did you pay? Did the dealer give you a trade in for the tires that were removed from your 5th wheel?

The dealer gave us $100 for the China bomb and I think the 614 was $300 plus a few dollars. This was for the spare since we had 614's switched out in the trade for the 2011 Montana. This was in 2011. Then we decided to change the spare also.

Thx. Retail on 614 seems to be 270-370. Pretty wide range. Waiting to hear from dealer.

Ditto Navybanker on the $100 credit on our previous rig (3750). Dealer did the swap for the 614's by taking rims to Sam's Club where I purchased the tires from (they had to be special ordered from Sam's).

Not sure what you are asking, but the rims on the new models are rated high enough that the 614 swap is not a problem.

Try "SimpleTire" on line. Good prices and always recent manufacturing dates. I think they are in the $270.00 range. Note: I got $200.00 on CL for my take off tire's. They sold quickly. Just FYI.

Dick, you may want to contact Tredit. Several members got their tires from them during the rally.

Thx all. The dealer parts mgr suggested I go outside for the tires to save $. After 32 years in wholesale parts I never met a parts mgr willing to give up a profit. His loss.

Is there a way to tell if the wheels on my 2014 Montana 3100RL are rated for the higher pressures that the 614 run? Right now I have the Marathons. :-(

It should be stamped into the backside on one of the wheel spokes. Will list 110 PSI or 3500 Lbs
You should have that as the wheels on our 2010 2955RL were rated for the G614s.
