Battery Disconnect
When do you use your battery disconnect? I just use mine when I store my Montana for a long period. Most of the time I remove my battery if it's going to be a long time before i take another trip. Should i use it if I'm parked at a place for a long time? I go to florida for about three months a year. Should I disconnect my battery then? The manual doesn't say a thing about it.

Since we went full time I haven't used it at all.

I only disconnect the battery if the Montana is sitting without connection to AC power.

The battery disconnect is designed to save battery run down when the unit is not being used. It shuts off certain functions hardwired, example the LP alarm. The battery is required, even when hooked up to AC, for some functions, example the igniter for the refrigerator (Propane).

I seldom disconnect mine anymore. And like stated by 1retired06, it's necessary for several things to work even if plugged in to AC.

We use the battery disconnect whenever the trailer's not in use and has no AC connection to maintain the battery.
